Public Notice is hereby given that the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., when the following applications will be heard:
The Awning Place Inc., 745 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section 403.4(b) Yards, to permit a fixed awning structure whose corner extends 6 feet into the side setback line. (Zone B-2)[Postponed from the April 30, 2009 meeting due to lack of a quorum]
Bernard Wojan, 1259 Silver Lane, Requests a variance from Section 302.1 Permitted Uses, to permit a 12’-4” x 12’-2” storage/tool shed on the property without a principal use structure. (Zone R-2) [Postponed from the April 30, 2009 meeting due to lack of a quorum]
Marc Shapiro, 36 Linden Street, Requests a variance from Section 214.2(c) Accessory Structures, to permit a storage/tool shed 5 ft from the rear property line (a 1 ft variance) and 2 ft from the side property line (a 4 ft variance). Qadariya Community Service Center, Inc. 20 Church Street, Requests a variance from Sections 209.1 and 209.7 Parking, to permit 7 “stacked” parking spaces for special event parking. (Zone R-3) [Postponed from the April 30, 2009 meeting due to lack of a quorum]
Asit Vyas, d.b.a “Pizza Hut”, 300 Silver Lane, Requests a variance from Section 210.6(d) Signs to permit a 3rd business sign. (Zone B-2) [Postponed from the April 30, 2009 meeting due to lack of a quorum]
Town of East Hartford, East Hartford Flood Control System, Requests a variance from Section 601.10 to permit the filling of minor amounts of fill within the floodplain without adding compensatory storage capacity for that additional fill. (Zones R-1, R-4, B-2, B-3, B-4)
